Registering a Domain name

Your hosting is important to allocate your site. You need to purchase domain names from a real name registrar. They provide you with the hosting service. So, you can choose a web hosting service according to your requirements.

The real name registrar is normally called hosting provider. On the other hand, online domain names are usually provided by Internet service providers, still getting a dedicated hosting service is the best for sites with new domains. So, you need to be cautious with this. This is what I have learned so far from my experience.

So, how does a real name registrar work?

At first, you need to fill up an online form with the domain name to be registered. The domain names are available on different websites, which have a free domain name registration option.

After filling up the application, the domain name registrar will send you a confirmation email along with the terms and conditions you have to agree to. You are able to sign up for the domain name on the same day the email arrives. The details and conditions of the domain name are usually printed on the registration package. You have to agree with the terms and conditions at the time of registering the domain name. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions, you can never use the domain name.

How it all works is this. Domain name registration is a commitment, which you have to meet to own the domain name. If you don’t follow the rules, you cannot own the domain name. And if you don’t own the domain name, your business will not be able to become successful.

It all depends on you to sign up for the domain name and the terms and conditions you have to follow. So, it’s your responsibility to understand the rules and details of domain name registration. If you haven’t purchased domain names from a real name registrar, it’s best to research other options, so that you do not get stuck with a lousy domain name.

If you already have domain names purchased from a web host, you need to register your domain names under the terms of your contract with the hosting company.

Here is a list of 5 Major Issues when registering domain names on the internet:

You cannot choose your own name.

You cannot use your own email.

You can have the domain name registered only for 30 days.

You have to pay an additional fee for each additional year of usage.

You have to maintain a website on the site you are using the domain name for.

So, while the process of registering domain names on the internet can be frustrating, once you understand how to do this, it will not be so hard to register a domain name and use it.
